We want our projects to be as easy and stress free as possible, and that's why we've developed the new online Christmas card project. Parents pay online so you don't have to handle money or fill out class envelopes or school order forms. As a result, we've been able to reduce our prices and increase fundraising amounts to make the project as valuable as possible.
A major and exclusive benefit of moving payments online is that for the first time ever, parents will receive a discount if ordering for more than one child in the school.
Overview of the project
Celebrate Christmas and get the creative juices flowing in your school by letting children design their very own Christmas cards which they can have professionally printed for parents, friends and family to treasure forever. The project gives children an opportunity to be creative and celebrates their efforts and achievement. The school also earns much needed funds from the orders made by parents.

Parents have the option of ordering the following items using their child's artwork:
- Standard cards - A6 in size and supplied in packs of 12 with envelopes.
- Luxury cards - A5 in size, gloss coated, and supplied in packs of 6 with envelopes.
- Gift tags - A8 in size, folded and supplied in packs of 12 with adhesive pads.
All prices include VAT. Envelopes are included in price.

How does the project reduce admin?
When speaking to our customers, the most frequent negative about running the project was how time consuming it was to collect payments and to fill out the paperwork.
.To remedy this, we've moved the collecting of payments away from the school by introducing an online payment portal for parents. Not only does this mean you no longer have to handle cash and cheques, but it also means that the system can calculate the orders - meaning you no longer have to fill out any paperwork!
How does the project work?
Once artworks have been created, send them home with one of our order forms attached to the back. Each form contains a unique code which parents need to input on our website to begin the ordering process. From there, they can enter their child's name, select or create a greeting, choose which products they want, and pay for their order. Your school will be given an order deadline date at the time of booking and once this date has been reached, our systems will collate all of the orders.
Parents who have ordered then need to hand their artwork back to the school so that they can be packed up before being collected by APFS (or posted depending on pupil size) on the agreed submission date.
We then transform the artworks into finished cards and tags and dispatch back to the school together with the original artworks by the estimated date. Finally, we send you a fundraising cheque before the end of term based on your orders (see prices and fundraising amounts above).
Do the projects cost the school any money to complete?
NO! Parents pay for their items online and then we send you a fundraising cheque before the end of term. With this method, the school does not need to handle any cash or cheques.
Can I use any materials to produce our artworks?
Yes! Unlike some other suppliers, we scan all artworks individually which ensures not only a higher quality print, but also means there are no limitations in artwork materials. The only medium we advise against is glitter as it doesn't always reproduce very well.
Are the projects open to anyone else other than primary schools?
Yes! Playgroups, creches, nurseries, Sunday schools/church groups, scouts & guides, community centres, summer clubs, secondary schools (recommended for lower year groups) and other groups have all participated in the projects. The projects are open to all and can be adapted to suit the group.
Can siblings take part?
Yes, we can provide extra order forms for siblings to take part too - just let us know at time of booking. There is an option on the order form to have the cards printed without the school name.
Please be aware that the order forms should NOT be photocopied as each order form contains a unique order code.
What size do the artworks need to be?
The original artworks should be created on A4 paper. You don't have to fill the whole sheet but the effect is better if you do.
Do you provide any resources?
Yes - inspiration for the project can be found within our Ideas & Techniques booklets, all of which are provided FREE for anyone through our online resources page. The booklets, together with artist information, National Curriculum references, and QCA schemes can be found online here
Do you accept late orders?
Yes we do. Any orders placed after the order deadline date will be classed as a late order. Parents submitting late orders will need to pay a handling charge, and also a delivery charge as the finished cards will be posted back separately to their home address.
How does the family discount work?
We've introduced a family discount for parents who have more than one child at the school. When ordering online, the first pack price is bypassed for each additional artwork added to the transaction.
When do we receive our fundraising?
Before the end of term. Once all orders have been placed and the finished items have been returned, our system will calculate the amount of fundraising that is owed to your school. We will then send you a cheque for this amount.
